Installation and Get Started Instruction

Download eisanalyser.zip (450 KB) and unpack to any folder on your computer. The eisanalyser.zip archive contains the executable file eissa1.exe (441 KB) and a folder with examples of data files and EISSA projects. No further installation is required in Windows 98/XP/Vista/7.

Examples with .eis file name extension belong to project files, .txt - simulated spectra. Impedance spectra with any file name extension can be loaded, provided the file structure complies with the one described in the online manual.

For information on how to use the program consult the online help from the program Help menu (the online Help address is http://www.abc.chemistry.bsu.by/vi/analyser/help.html). Small buttons marked with "?" open short hints on the use of the corresponding panel. Press "OK" button at the end of the hint to return to the program window.

Technical information

The EIS Spectrum Analyser program creates no files, except the projects, reports and data files you create yourself with commands from File menu. To remove the program from your computer just delete the program folder.

The program keeps in Windows registry the path to the initial directory for file browsing dialogues. By default this is the path of the current directory of the program file. To change the starting path of the browsing dialogues, just execute Save path command in the File menu after opening or saving a file in a new folder. The path is stored in "EISFit" key in the Software section of the Current User. The program creates no other keys in the registry.
